Man I am flyyying through these! I actually have a [sort of] deadline. Got a big job coming up in...who knows when. Maybe next week, maybe the week after. Plus the release of Diablo 3 is going to see ALL my free time occupied for at LEAST 2 months hahaha.
Couldn't decide if I wanted helmet on or off. So I went with helmet on...but mask up Half and half!
I was slightly dreading painting the armored suit and keeping it smooth, but maintaining the "matte" sort of texture...but I figured it out eventually. I accessed my old skills of rendering vehicles from my last commercial job I really just overlayed a "suede" fabric texture over the armor to dull it down!
Photoshop CS5
12 hours or so.
Airbrush + Texture brushes.
Dodge/Burn and Sharpen/Blur for finishing touches!
