HANDSOME JACK

This is Handsome Jack from the newly released "Borderlands 2". [link]

Awesome, awesome game! I'm not a -huge- fan of most FPS games... But I love this one for its visual style and quirky writing

I had a lot of fun taking this cartoon character and making him as realistic as possible while still keeping his stylized features intact.

I'm insanely pleased with how this turned out, and I finally feel like my 2-3 years of training by painting celebrity portraits is finally paying off, and I have learnt enough techniques to create stuff like this now!

Photoshop CS5
15 hours over 2 days.
Airbrush + Texture brushes.
Dodge/Burn and Sharpen/Blur for finishing touches!
