Da man!!
Been meaning to paint this guy for the longest time ever- just never got around to finding a picture that grabbed me

Kinda recycled the background from my Sons Of Anarchy series too....cuz I lazy haha. But I liked how it actually worked xD

Photoshop CS5
Airbrush, Dodge/Burn tool for detail and Sharpen/Blur tool for finishing touches!
Also with the help of Photoshop Skin texture brushes! Crucial tool for something like this!

Those texture brushes are really helpful huh?. Did you draw all the hairs individually, and about how long did it take you to complete you think? Oh and what method did you use for the fine lines on the pattern of the shirt to get them all perfectly spaced following the curve of the material ( A lot of copy and paste, maybe)?

I won't accuse you of posting a photo because more of it is actually in focus than you'd see happen with a camera. You've got both more and less detail than a photo. More in that more of it is crisply detailed, and less in color variance... You have a good eye for detail, and it's an awesome rendering... if there's even one thing I'd say might possible be improved... maybe the neck just a tad.

I'm not one to talk though... it's more realistically detailed than all of my efforts I think. I sort of departed from my pursuit of pure realism though. All very good work that you do, so far as I can see. I actually like your version of his expression, better than the photo. You made him look better in my opinion. I hope you get payed, because you've got skills
