Yes- have another one :XD:

Of COURSE a couple of days after I finish my first Phantom painting....out of freakin' nowhere comes this masterpiece of a photo of Ben Lewis: [link] Unfortunately at that resolution too, I would normally stay away from such a tiny photo (can't see much detail)...but It HAD to be done! :la: I just love how it captures exactly how he portrayed the Phantom in LND. Very dark indeed :D

Anyway; our very own Aussie Ben Lewis as The Phantom of the Opera, (or should I say, The Phantom of Coney Island) from our Melbourne-grown production of "Love Never Dies"

Photoshop CS5
This was done insanely quick in about 5 hours- just something I had to get off my chest!
Airbrush, Dodge/Burn tool for detail and Sharpen/Blur tool for finishing touches!
Also with the help of Photoshop Skin texture brushes!

Love Never Dies DVD trailer: [link] <-- CAN'T WAIT! :la:

See Ben sing here: [link] <--- :faint:

I absolutely love Phantom of the Opera and I love Love Never Dies. I thought Ben Lewis did an awesome job playing the Phantom. His singing and acting was phenomenal and the production team was awesome being able to put it together. It was really spectacular. I wish I could go back in time and watch it live but alas, I live in the opposite hemisphere. I wish they could do like an encore broadcast and show it at a nearby theatre.

Awesome work by the way. Love how you captured the light and dark and got some of that detailing in from that tiny picture. I never would be able to draw something from such a small reference. Awesome work

I love everything about this piece, but particularly the mask. The way the light not only seems to reflect off it, but also to penetrate through it, makes it seem much more solid and real. Also, excellent work on the skin texture, particularly around his eye.
